Trying a few things out at work. This is a speed painting I made while testing the painting materials at our disposal. I kinda like the deep blue tone of this cheap color; looks nice to my mind. Took me about an hour or so I think, but then again, it’s a rather rushed little thing.
Water color, water coloring pencils, white ink, A4.
It’s been awhile since I inked anything, so I was a little nervous inking this one, but it turned out allright in the end I think. I know I know, too many fingers and toes for blue eyed little Benjy, but I drew him from memory and forgot he’s supposed to have only four fingers and toes on each hand and foot 🙂
…I do stuff that turns into other stuff. What started out as another lame dude ended up being a city (of sorts) on an odd shaped mountain.
A little while back I produced a few graphical elements for a game called Word Ahoy! for the Swedish company Miljonlotteriet.
The game is a mash up of Scrabble and Sinking Ship, where the first part takes you to the Scrabble area, and depending on if you win or lose in Scrabble you get to try to sink your opponents ship. You can play either against an NPC or you can challenge your friends on Facebook if you want. You can also find random people to challenge. In this game you can also purchase lottery tickets and win a maximum of 2 million Swedish crowns (yep, real money). You can grab the game here.
Take a peak in my Digital Art’s section, I’ve uploaded the ships, captains and other stuff from this job.
Sometimes I make things and get the feeling there should be more to them, but I can’t for the life of me decide what should be added or not. It could be some more detail on the item itself, or maybe it should be placed in an environment of some sort, or whatever it might be. This is the case with this one; I feel there should be more to it than there is, but I can’t really pinpoint what. Frustrations, frustrations…
Gotta have the nailbelt at the ready!
Can’t draw dudes without including the main dude in the rotation now and then! A blind Hulk would be even more of a disaster than he already is, by the way.
… is an illusion. I’ve been sketching more and more again and it feels really good. Haven’t felt this good about in quite a long time actually, so expect more of it from now on. My long lost creativity is coming back again (HOOORAAAYYY!) =) Oh and by the way, by popular demand(!), this one is now also featuring Thor!
This is just a warm-up quickie I made the other week, it seems to me he kinda looks like what John Constantine would’ve looked like if a young Sean Connery played him in a movie =)
